Will Lutava protect me from COVID-19?
While FITSHIELD® antimicrobial technology has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties, there has been no study to date that provides data on its ability to inhibit Covid-19 specifically. What germs does Lutava protect from specifically?
Lutava products with FITSHIELD inhibit the growth of almost all microorganisms it comes in contact with but specifically has been proven to effectively kill 99.99% of the two most common found in fitness centers which are Staphylococcus aureus, and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
Klebsiella [kleb−see−ell−uh] is a type of Gram-negative bacteria that can cause different types of healthcare-associated infections, including pneumonia, bloodstream infections, wound or surgical site infections, and meningitis.
Staphylococcus is a group of bacteria (microbe or germ) that can cause a number of infectious diseases in various tissues of the body. Staphylococcus is more familiarly known as staph (pronounced "staff"). How do Lutava products last so long?

How should I clean my Lutava product?
All Lutava products are machine washable more than 100 times without losing their antimicrobial properties. Use any household detergent and spot treatment, washing with like-colors and hang to dry.
How often should I wash my Lutava product?
You can wash your Lutava gear as needed, we recommend after every 10 workouts or so.
